Written for senior adults, and as dementia-friendly, our stories feature easy-to-understand narratives, short chapters, wonderful recognizable music and perfect for those who may experience difficulties with prolonged focus.
It's important to note - these stories are crafted for adults. These are not children's stories. We don't talk down to our audience. As such there are  adult themes and situations, but nothing graphic or shocking...think of it as "Rated PG." Our philosophy - we're are adults in the room here. We can take a PG Rating.
For an optimal experience, we recommend tuning in via headphones or earbuds for added clarity. 

"Red In Yellow" is a nonfiction short story, that follows Vincent van Gogh in his final three years of life. Tracing his fierce bursts of creativity, struggles with mental illness, and life among ordinary people and the pursuit of light and beauty.
The first episode centers on a failed ministry to a desperate Belgian mining village. A moment that was key to his eventual devotion to art and  faith.

In Chapter Seven of Red in Yellow, Theo proposes they start a Salon of The South school of Art Nouveau in the south of France, and that Vincent should be head of the venture. Een suggests to Vincent the city of Arles, and Vincent suggests this to his brother.

In this chapter of Red in Yellow, Theo Van Gogh convinces Paul Gauguin to join Vincent Van Gogh in Arles. Gauguin agrees to arrive there in the fall, of 1889 as the principle artist for the Salon of The South. Upon arriving, sparks begin between Gauguin and Van Gogh.

Chapter Ten
Within 60 days, the relationship between Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin becomes frayed and untethered. They become physical and threatening. Gauguin storms out. To Van Gogh it is the end of a brotherhood and the end of his salon.

Chapter Thirteen - Red in Yellow
Vincent van Gogh settles in to Saint Paul de Mausole, where there was a gentle hush of order. Meals at regular hours, echoes of the soft pad of an attendants' footsteps in the corridor, the monastery bells marking time with their bronze exalt. Daily rhythms his life had never known. It is here that he begins some of his best works, and sees the swirling night sky from his room window.

At Maple Grove Senior Center activity table Eleanor wrinkled her nose at this cocktail of smells, as Harold walked by. She rubbed a peeled corner of her playing card the way some women work a rosary. Beside her sat Frank — seventy-five or so, a few years younger than Eleanor, though you wouldn't know it to look at him. His poor hearing was a dead give-away. Harold clapped his hands at the room of ten or so residents, like a man trying to wake the dead.

The moment Harold was found lying in the storage closet the mood at Maple Grove shifted. Staff tried to hold to the day's plan — they made a genuine effort — but the smiles were forced and some voices wavered at the edge of weeping. The less composed among the women broke down when the director delivered the news at an impromptu meeting called, before the police arrived. She did not soften it.

The cops and detective moved through Maple Grove quickly — too quickly for a place that ran at half speed.  "Nobody moves," the junior officer said, with more John Wayne than the situation called for. “You’re all suspects.” The detective looked at him, and shook his head in condemnation.
