Welcome to ClearTales, a podcast of stories tailored specifically for seniors. Hosted by Richard Carlton London, ClearTales provides an engaging auditory escape without the demanding attention span required for lengthy books.
Written for senior adults, and as dementia-friendly, our stories feature easy-to-understand narratives, short chapters, wonderful recognizable music and perfect for those who may experience difficulties with prolonged focus.
It's important to note - these stories are crafted for adults. These are not children's stories. We don't talk down to our audience. As such there are  adult themes and situations, but nothing graphic or shocking...think of it as "Rated PG." Our philosophy - we're are adults in the room here. We can take a PG Rating.

Peppy wakes up feeling nauseous and disoriented, surrounded by the musty smells of wood and chicken. As he realizes he's been stolen, his heart races with fear. However, a compassionate woman with piercing blue eyes and a gentle voice appears, offering him a glimmer of hope.
Despite the dog-napper's protests and a wounded arm, the woman stands firm in her resolve to protect Peppy, setting the stage for a tense and thrilling journey back north. Will Peppy find his way back to Sweetie and the beloved Spectavelli Circus?

The circus staff sets up camp near Newcastle, a town with a rich history dating back 200 years. Amid the repetitive rhythm of circus life, the dogs meticulously plan their escape, focusing on the cook's weekly supply trip to town.
As the dogs execute their plan, they face an unexpected twist: Peppy is to be sold to a medical doctor for brain study. With the clock ticking, they decide to make their move that very day. Will they succeed in their daring escape?

The circus staff prepares for a busy weekend, while Brutus, Brownie, Click, Clack and Peppy hatch a daring plan to break free. From sneaking food to hiding in a wagon, their escape is filled with suspense and quick thinking.

Python quickly assembles a team of ten strong men, armed and ready to hunt down the escapees. With Snake Eyes leading the charge, they venture into the woods near the Devil's Bridge, determined to retrieve or eliminate the dogs.

In the morning, the pack continued right away in their westward direction along the wide creek running down from the mountain. The absence of regular meals began to show on each of the dogs. Ribs jutted out and desperation became etched in their faces. As the morning advanced, they walked slower, induced by their hunger.

Circus Jack - Chapter 23. Dungeon's Door

As they navigate the treacherous forest, a sudden encounter with a majestic animal and a near-drowning experience test their bravery and unity. With Peppy's heroic rescue of Brownie, the group's bond strengthens, and they continue their adventure, ever more vigilant.
As night falls, the team prepares for a guarded rest, sharing stories and dreams by an imaginary campfire. Brutus reveals a heartfelt confession about a mysterious she-dog that haunts his dreams, and the friends pledge to help him find her.

Circus Jack - Chapter 24. The Black Beast

In Chapter 24, "The Black Beast," the pack continues their perilous journey, facing steep and rocky terrain, breathtaking vistas, and a refreshing oasis. They find a temporary sanctuary at a quaint cabin where a kind woman offers them food and rest. However, their peace is interrupted by a terrifying encounter with a massive black beast and its offspring. The pack scatters in panic, and a fierce battle ensues, leading to Brutus's heroic yet tragic sacrifice.

With the jewelers lying motionless, Chart's playful display ended with a bow and curtsy, much to the amusement of her companions. A decisive command immobilized the man holding the orb, allowing Frankie to seize it with a crushing blow, leaving the man paralyzed.

In this episode, J.J. reveals an ancient box to the Johnsons and the band, unveiling a treasure of epic proportions. Crafted from richly colored wood and adorned with intricate carvings of Greek gods and sea voyages, the box itself is a masterpiece. However, the true marvel lies within.

Greeted by the bank manager, Mr. Hashing, Diamond requested access to his vault. The manager and his assistant led him down a hidden staircase to a grand, secure chamber. There, they unlocked the imposing gate and vault door, revealing rows of metal drawers holding the bank's most valuable possessions.

Knowing they had just an hour to record a tape and get it to the pizza parlor for a chance at the Indiana Fair music job, Haas urged the band to step it up. Clutching his drumsticks, he tapped out a rhythm, and the band prepared to play "Gimme Some Love."
