As the journey of our pack continues, they face the harsh realities of hunger and sleepless nights. Food from the circus has run out, leading them to fish and forage for sustenance. Despite their struggles, the telling of stories becomes a comforting distraction.

In the morning, the pack continued right away in their westward direction along the wide creek running down from the mountain. The absence of regular meals began to show on each of the dogs. Ribs jutted out and desperation became etched in their faces. As the morning advanced, they walked slower, induced by their hunger.
